Meet the creators
Kim Hattin, Author
I’m the Loo Lady and the author of Bathrooms of Boise. An Irish gypsy in spirit, world explorer by choice, and wine pusher by profession, I’ve collected passport stamps, questionable travel decisions, and an unexpectedly memorable trove of bathroom photos along the way. I’m also proudly bilingual ~ speaking both English and Sarcasm with equal confidence. As time passes, I’ve learned that the best stories are usually the ones that are only funny in hindsight (pun absolutely intended).
More than anything, though, my greatest adventure is sharing life with my family and friends. They’re the people I laugh with and who never hesitate to laugh at me, especially when they see me heading for the dance floor. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jonathan Collins is a Boise based photographer, enthusiastic traveler, occasional cocktail enthusiast, unapologetic theater nerd, and, through a series of life choices no one could have predicted, a connoisseur of exceptionally photogenic bathrooms. When he isn’t photographing opera singers, beautiful people, dramatic landscapes, or whatever else wanders in front of his camera, Jonathan can often be found hosting friends at Chateau Collins, hunting down Boise’s best food and drink, planning his next adventure, or quietly admiring a restroom with suspiciously good tile. His contribution to Bathrooms of Boise is rooted in the deeply held belief that great design deserves to be celebrated everywhere, even while you pee. He brings an eye for composition, a love of theatrical lighting, and exactly the level of maturity you’d expect from a grown man voluntarily photographing toilets for the internet.
